Dyna Superglide rider, July 2005
Thank you for the fulfilling
weekend motorcycling around the Portuguese countryside. The Triumph
Sprint RS (955cc) that I rode over 600 kilometers never ceased to
please. As someone who is a tried and true Harley rider, it was a
great change of pace.

I ride a BMW F650GS at home, the
Triumph was a joy to experience for both of us, and very comfortable
for a pillion, especially with the Air Vent seats that Motocadia
provided us with. The handling was sure and smooth; the bike did
everything I wanted with ease. Highway riding was a breeze.

Larry, Maine - USA - July 2005
Currently I ride a BMW R1100R -
Initially I was not sure if the riding position of the triumph would
suit a tourer - but I was completely surprised, the lower down bars
were very comfortable and the extra power delivered from the Triple
was far better than my BMW. Also the seat on the Triumph was better.
Over the week I found the bike to be comfortable, competent and
capable of all the Portuguese roads.

We hired 2 triumphs for a 2 week
trip, customised by Julian, including Northern Spain - and my father
71 years old took one bike, we found them to be faultless over the
2300 kms we rods. They were very easy to ride, and dealt with all the
roads easily, and the triple motor delivered excellent torque for all
road situations. At home we own 5 bikes, with 2 BMW models, and I
found the triumph a good all round bike to ride.

The tour was great: I experienced
roads in the North and in the Estrela mountains that surpassed all
the roads I have ridden in the Pyrenees and other parts of Europe - 5
star plus! Riding with no traffic or other bikes in the mountains was
a great experience. Portugal is yet to be discovered by motorcyclists
of any nationality in any numbers - long may it continue.
The accommodation was brilliant,
food and drink very good and very cheap. Being a traditional
carnivore kind of a of a guy the "Picanha" meat fest in
Lisbon was truly a feast fit for a king! And better than a similar
experience in Argentina!
The bikes were great and the
organisation top class. Highly recommended. Bringing friends back in 2005.

This was our first tour ever and
what a tour! Incredible weather, great food and wine, amazing
accommodation and great bikes. Portugal in all ways was far better
than we had thought it would be. The riding was spectacular, with
amazing roads and stunning scenery. Portuguese people were open,
friendly and very welcoming.
Motocadia's tour will take you to
the "real Portugal" yet undiscovered by many. Having ridden
in the Alps and the Pyrenees this was a far better experience with
little or no traffic in many areas - a sheer pleasure. Julian and
Alicja made the whole tour come alive, and Julian's guiding and pace
was excellent through out.
On reflection in the UK, this
holiday adventure has become our best holiday ever, and we are going
back in 2005!

Chris and Eve, UK, Pan European
rider - now, August 2004
We had never experienced a
motorcycle tour, and found the whole adventure hassle free and very
pleasing. The weather was turbulent, to say the least, and we had to
contend with rain, wind and sunshine - at times. Julian did his best
to try and accommodate the weather changes and we still had a great time.
The roads were good, scenery
stunning, coupled with great food and wine made up for the lack of sun.
2005 will see us re visiting
Motocadia in some form or another.

Michael and Jesse, Canada,
Shadow riders, July 2004
Both of us have had little
motorcycling experience and found the pace and advice given to us by
Motocadia to be first class. By the end of the week I had ridden more
than I had in 3 years! The tour was hard for us at times, as two of
the days riding are quite long, but we managed at a reduced pace and
had a holiday of a lifetime on our first ever motorcycle vacation.
Portugal was more varied than we thought and the accommodation was of
a very high standard.
Julian throughout the week
looked after us and guided us along at a great pace and showed us the
unspoilt parts of a fascinating country. The bikes were great and in
top class condition, roads and drivers were very good and the Estrela
mountain range was stunning.

Ed, San Francisco, BMW R1200C
rider, September 2004
Motocadia's tour of Portugal showed
me a great and fascinating country, which took me through some of the
loveliest towns in Northern Portugal with stopovers in 19th century
manor houses, seaside resorts, and first class hotels.
There is ample time to explore
cathedrals, castles, mountain-top walled cities, and Port wine
houses. Although there are occasional jaunts on the motorway, most of
the riding is on almost deserted country roads. Julian will set the
pace so that it is comfortable for riders of any level of experience.
A great overall motorcycling
vacation, well organised - will be recommending to friends back home.

Sean and Trish, New York,
October 2004
We rented a BMW F650GS for a week,
and found the whole experience hassle free coupled with a private
pick up and return to Lisbon airport to be excellent. Having never
visited Portugal we asked Julian's advise on what to see and where to
go and had a great time exploring the Silver Coast beach area and
beyond. Bike was in top condition and served our needs perfectly.
Will be recommending to friends
back in the USA.

The tour was a holiday of a
lifetime. By the end of the week my riding had improved by 20%, and I
was more confident with all types of cornering wow there are
some corners. The accommodation was magnificent. If you want a treat,
and to see a fascinating country then this is the way to go
superb. As a lone female traveller, this holiday is great for women
Not macho and safe.

Every day got better, the
accommodation was unbelievable. The diversity of the roads, and the
scenery is much more than we expected. The corners were unreal.
Highly recommend it to all levels of riders. Each day brought new
discoveries, and got you to question your own riding ability, but in
a helpful way, much to take home and put in to practice in the UK.
Traffic free roads were at first strange, but then very comforting,
as you had time to enjoy the ride, rather than the worry of vehicles.
If you want to try touring this is a great start.

I had never ridden anything
but a scooter, my first day saw 360 kms, on a huge range of roads,
what an experience. The accommodation was top class, a real pleasure
after lots of riding. Motocadia have worked hard to bring clients a
thrilling motorcycling holiday, with the opportunity to see real
Portugal I would recommend this to anyone, from none
core motorcyclists to serious motorcyclists, theres something
for everyone.

Peter Henshaw, UK said
My expectations of Portugal were
surpassed from day 1, the roads are empty compared with the UK, and
the condition and mixture of riding more diverse than any where I
have ridden in Europe. There is so much changing in such a short
space of time, its never dull. Other touring holidays can offer
standard accommodation, not here, every place had something unique,
and they were all a pleasure to stay in. Veteran tourers and new
comers will be in for a surprise and a real treat.

I have ridden all over the
world, and was pleasantly surprised how good the Portuguese roads
were, coupled with little traffic, and in many places nothing at all,
a motorcyclists heaven. Any one that goes will love the 76 kms of the
N230 toward Covilha, its a great road. Accommodation was very
comfortable and of a high standard. Good organisation. Portugal will
bring any one that visits numerous riding moments. If you want a
great week, in an unknown riding country this is the one in Europe
for you.
